Airport.
Travel from Salt Lake City airport to downtown is either by Taxi, Bus or or Green Line Trax train. Ride sharing companies also service the airport. Info on Utah Transit Authority services can be found at https://www.rideuta.com/
The Green Line goes from the Airport. The Red Line goes from downtown to the University. The "University South Station" is the nearest to the Art Building (walk west from the station back down South campus Drive).
Public Transport.
There is an option to buy Trax (Tram) or Bus tickets when you register. Please note these will be given out on Wednesday night at the initial reception. Tickets can also be purchased at Trax stations and on buses. Cash only on buses. Trax and buses are $2.50 each way. One day tickets on Trax can be purchased in advance, online, in batches of 5 and they will be sent to you. It is also possible to buy a Fare Pay Card (reloadable. Cost $3.00 to buy and gives a slightly reduced rate for travel), also in advance and it can be sent to you. If you buy tickets on the day of travel this can be done at machines on the station platform. Please allow time to do this as it can take a while for larger groups of people. Campus Parking - University of Utah.
The Symposium will be held in Fall Break so parking should be straight forward, although it is not free. There are pay Kiosk lots, Pay by Phone Meters and Temporary Permits. Visit the Commuter services page for details. https://commuterservices.utah.edu/campus-parking/visitors.php
Campus Maps.
Go to https://commuterservices.utah.edu/campus-parking/parking-map.php
On the campus guide map (available for download) you will see the Art Building listed as building 38 in square D-2. You can then see the nearest parking to the building. There is an "A" (day pass is $12.00) in front (west) of our building with some meters. Across the street, south and just east of the stadium, there is a "U" lot ($8.00 day pass).
